(although I am always glad if someone gives me his or her opinion)

I have been testing (trying to) the quarkerpt in winXP. I will post
more details in the next future. But now I am posting a problem that
can perhaps be explain to me:

PROBLEM:

I can read, in "my" file

G:\quakerpt-alpha-0.4.0\quakerpt\README

the following:

"Data will be stored in the appropriate HOME directory for your system.
Subdirectory reports will maintain an up to date collection of
hypocentral data reports in XML"

QUESTION:

Can you give the name or some information about the NAME of the file(s) created?

I can not find it on my PCs. I am not sure about my HOME directory and
understand that you, that are not a win specialist, are not sure too.

But if I have a name (or a hint of the name) I could search the files
(in files that have been created today) and look inside them (with a
text or xml editor).

Thanks

Jose:
I am a confused by this email

The windows versions of quakerpt-alpha-0.4.2 is :

http://prdownloads.sourceforge.net/etad/quakerpt-alpha-0.4.2.win32.exe?download

No one has downloaded this yet so I am uncertain what software you are using.
I realise that there is an error in README in that I have failed to update
the version numbers.

If I carry on with the project I will use VCS

The best way the check is to run python quakereport.py and look at the log.
The following is the log on Debian-sarge

At 17:50:50.618 the log informs me that the program has successfully checked
for the existence of the directory /home/brian/qrdata -- if it had not
succeeded in the search it would have created the directory

As well as the log messages there are a few messages printed on the console
which I intended to be useful to windows developers.

As noone had downloaded quakerpt-alpha-0.4 before Christmas I had switched the
server off. If you intend to keep working on this please say so and I will
switch it back on.

I had given up on this as I cannot continue with a peer to peer system without
peers.

Brian
