Quakerpt-alpha-0.4.0 is now released - I will be grateful to anyone who gives
it a try and tell me what happens.
https://sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=138345&package_id=167895&release_id=376291
For me quakerpt works beautifully with half a dozen peers on two machines -
But I have done a lot of work aimed at catering for different network setups
which I cannot test.
I have done a lot of work aimed at catering for M$ Windows which I cannot
test.
I have done a lot of work on installers. I am very doubtful about whether I
have got this correct. The online documentation of the dist module is
incomplete and I don't understand it without better documentation of more
machines for testing. Has anyone come across a better reference for creating
a pure python distribution?
A particular problems which I am stuck with. What is the preferred method for
non-techie users to get the correct PYTHONPATH for quakerpt when it is
installed as a module. I think there is something that can go into setup.py -
but what?
I have include the windows installer, but I'm not sure what it does! Tell me
someone!
To those of you who have experimented with an earlier version:
QUAKERPT-ALPHA-0.4.0 HAS A PROPER INSTALLER - IT DOES NOT RUN LIKE EARLIER
VERSIONS. READ INSTALL!
